Sequel to Fan the Embers
Just as the Empeer ends the pripeer nonsense, a far worse problem arises. Figorians for an Independent Figor (FIF) are furious at the path the Empeer has taken to destroy the purity of Figor. They will cleanse the Figorian bloodlines, no matter what it takes.
Hugh and Trend hoped for peace on second continent. While they are welcomed and their relationship is accepted, new problems crop up. The Liatte want to open talks with them. The scientists are bent on the two of them getting pregnant the moment they bond. To add to the whirlwind that is their life, the Empeer offers Hugh a job he can’t, and doesn’t want to, refuse.
Figor, a formerly peaceful world, is suddenly awash in murders, bombings, and all manner of destruction and panic handed out by the FIF.
While the Empeer, Blair, and the Earthen fleet do their best to find the miscreants, Hugh and Trend head down a nerve-wracking path: to become the parents of the new Figorian. Discussions between the Empeer and the FIF are worthless when instead of showing up to talk, the FIF bomb Brethen, killing and harming many. They attempt to kidnap Trend and to destroy any chance of further Figorian births.
That is only the beginning of their endgame. When the FIF announce their true plans, there’s no time for discussions or attempts to find them. The Empeer must get every Figorian safe before the FIF’s plan comes to fruition. Or there will be no Figor left to defend.
Warning: Figor is a true trilogy. The books need to be read in order.
